AlarmPayments Auto-Fill Payment Info Feature

Modified on Wed, 29 Apr at 7:50 PM

Overview

The Auto-Fill Payment Info feature on AlarmPayments.com allows the portal to automatically populate a customer's existing recurring charge autopay data when you launch it from Cornerstone desktop software — no copy and paste required.

This guide covers how to use the Auto-Fill Payment Info button and explains where this feature is and is not available.

Before You Begin

Autopay data must already be set up on the customer's recurring charges before using the Auto-Fill Payment Info feature. If autopay has not yet been configured on the account, set that up first. See How to Set Up Autopay on a Customer Account for guidance.

How to Use Auto-Fill Payment Info

  1. Launch AlarmPayments from Cornerstone. Open the AlarmPayments portal from within the Cornerstone desktop software.
  2. Click Auto-Fill Payment Info. Click the Auto-Fill Payment Info button to automatically populate the existing autopay data for the transaction.

The button will populate the following fields:

Field Populated
Payment method
Payment details

⚠️ IMPORTANT

Desktop Software Only: Auto-Fill Payment Info is only available when launching the AlarmPayments portal from Cornerstone's desktop software.

Security Restriction: Due to Payment Card Industry (PCI) rules, auto-fill of payment information is not permitted when accessing AlarmPayments from the mobile app or from a web browser.
