Setting Different Credit Card vs ACH Payment Limits in AlarmPayments

Modified on Wed, 8 Oct at 5:22 PM

Overview

Cornerstone now offers the option to set different payment limits for Credit Card versus ACH transactions in AlarmPayments.com.

How Payment Limits Work

You can configure separate maximum payment amounts for:

  • Credit Card payments (Card Limit)
  • ACH payments (ACH Limit)

When Limits Are Exceeded

If a user tries to pay more than the configured limit, they will:

  1. Receive a popup message with your custom "ACH / Card Limit Msg" text
  2. Be unable to move forward with the payment until they adjust the amount

This helps you manage transaction sizes and reduce risk according to your business needs.

Setting Up Different Limits

To set different limits for Card vs ACH payments:

  1. Determine your desired limits for each payment type
  2. Contact Cornerstone to update the settings in your database
  3. Provide your custom limit message text (optional)

Cornerstone will configure these limits on your behalf.
