Overview
This guide explains how to apply a Quick Credit for the full pre-tax amount on an invoice in Cornerstone Billing Solutions. Use this process when you need to issue a full invoice credit — for example, to write off a balance or reverse a charge — directly from a customer account's Invoice History.

Before You Begin
You will need access to the relevant customer account and the specific invoice you wish to credit before beginning. Have the invoice number or date range on hand to locate the invoice quickly in Invoice History.
Steps to Apply a Full Pre-Tax Quick Credit
Follow the steps below to locate the invoice and apply the full pre-tax Quick Credit.
- Navigate to the customer account. Open the relevant customer record in the system.
- Click Invoice History. This opens the list of invoices associated with the account.
- Highlight and select the invoice. Click to highlight the invoice you wish to credit, then double-click it or click to select it.
- Click Quick Credit. This opens the Quick Credit dialog.
- Apply the pre-tax full amount. Enter the full pre-tax amount in the credit amount field. The full pre-tax amount for the invoice is displayed in the upper right of the Quick Credit dialog.
- Click the Credit Category dropdown. Select the appropriate credit category from the dropdown list.
- Insert or select a Reason. Type a reason directly into the Reason field, or highlight and select one from the available options.
- Click OK. Confirms and applies the Quick Credit to the invoice.
⚠️ IMPORTANT
The full pre-tax amount for the selected invoice is displayed in the upper right of the Quick Credit dialog. Always reference this figure when entering the credit amount to ensure the correct balance is applied.
