Add a Custom Signature to Emailed Proposals (Quotes)

Cornerstone allows you to create a reusable email signature that automatically appears on emailed proposals (Quotes). Using the Phrases feature, you can build a personalized signature once and select it each time you send a quote — no retyping required. You can even use System Macros to auto-populate company details like your name, address, and phone number.

Step-by-Step: Create Your Email Signature

Click Quotes on the menu bar.

Select any existing Quote to open it.

Click Print / Email Quote.

Click Phrases in the Print Quote window.

From the Phrases window, click Insert to create a new phrase.

In the Phrase ID field, enter a name for your signature (e.g., Signature).

From the Category drop-down, select Email.

In the Service Phrase text area, type the content you want to appear in your email signature.

Click OK to save your signature phrase.

You can now select this Phrase whenever you want to add your signature to a Quote email.

Using System Macros in Your Signature

Instead of typing your company name, address, or phone number manually, insert System Macros that automatically pull that information from your account settings when the email is generated. Click System Macros from the Service Phrase editor, highlight the macro you want, and click Paste.

⚠ Quick Tips

  • To add a clickable website link, type your URL as www.yourwebsite.com in the signature text.
  • To add a click-to-email link, type mailto:youremail@yourcompany.com — recipients can click it to open a blank email addressed to you.
  • Once saved, your signature phrase is reusable — just select it from the Phrases list whenever emailing a quote.
