Troubleshooting: Unable to Apply a Credit to an Invoice

If you are unable to apply an available credit to an invoice, the issue is likely related to the credit's application settings. The credit may be restricted to a specific invoice type.

To resolve this, you can adjust the credit's settings to ensure it can be applied to the correct invoice type.

Steps to Adjust Credit Settings:

  1. From the customer's account, click Credit History.

  2. Highlight and select the credit in question.

  3. Review the box next to 'Can be applied to...Recurring/Product Invoice.'

  4. If the appropriate invoice type is not selected, check the box to enable it.

  5. Click OK to save the changes.

  6. Return to the invoice and apply the credit.
