Overview
This article explains how to look up customers by their Bill to Address using two different methods. Use Method 1 when searching for a specific customer, and Method 2 when you need a broader view of multiple accounts with separate bill to addresses.
Method 1: Customer List Search
Use this method to search for a specific customer by their billing address.
- Open the Customer List screen and choose the Searches icon.
- Select the Name/Address option.
- Type the bill to address in the Street Address 1 field.
- Ensure the "Search Site/Bill To Info" box is checked.
- Click OK to search for the customer's bill to address.
⚠️ IMPORTANT
The "Search Site/Bill To Info" checkbox must be checked before clicking OK — otherwise the search will not return bill to address results.
Method 2: Management Reports
Use this method when you need to search on a broader level — for example, when inquiring on multiple accounts that have separate bill to addresses. This option allows you to search for all customers with a bill to address, or filter results by open or closed status.
Steps
- Click the Reports icon near the top left of your screen.
- Under Management Reports, click the Bill to Address report.
- Choosewhich customers you want to include in the results:
- All — all customers with a different Bill to Address
- Open — only customers with an Open status
- Closed — only customers with a Closed status
- View the report.
Understanding the Report
The report distinguishes between the two addresses by separating them into two columns, making it easy to see at a glance which customers have different billing and site addresses.
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| First column (right of customer number) | Billing address |
| Second column | Site address |
