Understanding Revenue vs. Receipts

It is important to understand the difference between revenue and receipts when reviewing your financial reports.

  • Revenue is the amount that was billed to customers. To view your revenue, you should generate an Invoice History Report.

  • Receipts are the payments received from customers. To view your receipts, you should generate a Cash Receipts Report.
