How to Add Disclaimers or Term Agreements to Tickets

Modified on Wed, 8 Oct at 4:11 PM

Overview

You can now add longer disclaimers or term agreements to service tickets beyond the default Terms Agreement field.

Default Terms Agreement

The Terms Agreement text in System Defaults > Ticket (2) tab will print as the default Terms Agreement on a service ticket.

However, some customers may need an agreement that is longer than can fit in the Terms Agreement area. To accommodate this, we have added the option to print a letter along with the service ticket.

Creating a Custom Letter

Step 1: Access the Letter Creation Tool

  1. Go to Inquiry / Mail on the menu bar
  2. Click Create Letters
  3. Click Insert

Step 2: Configure the Letter

  1. Enter the name of the letter in the Document Name field
  2. From the TYPE dropdown box, select Ticket
  3. Enter the remaining text for the disclaimer
    • You can also copy and paste from an existing document

Printing Tickets with Custom Letters

Step 1: Create and Print a Ticket

  1. Create a ticket as usual
  2. Click Print

Step 2: Select the Letter

On the Print Ticket window, you will now see a new selection box for Letter Page:

  • If you ONLY have one letter set up to print on tickets, AlarmWin will automatically default to that letter
  • If you have more than one letter, click on the dropdown box to select which letter to send

The letter you have selected will print as part of the ticket after the standard ticket information.
